It Was The Night
It
was
the night before Christmas....
When
all through the house
Were
sounds of daddy punching mommy
And
my sisters silent sobs
Not
one of us kids
Dared
to make a sound
For
fear that Daddy's anger
Will
double and rebound
We
pray that Mommy will be okay
And
live in fear
that
Daddy will kill her one day
So
dear Santa
You
Jolly kids friend
Can
you bring enough money
So
Momma can begin again
And
stop all this violence
We
have to live in each day
I
don't want to bury my Momma
One
cold Christmas day.
